The Golden Years is a dynamic five-piece band built around the husband and wife duo of Matt and Andrea DeAngelis, with Alasdair Mackenzie, Liz Cantor, and Chris Haley rounding out the line up. Based in Boston, MA, they have played clubs around New England for nearly a decade. Driven by Matt’s songwriting and lead vocals, The Golden Years delivers layered, nuanced performances in the studio and electrifying rock-and-roll on stage.
The Golden Years’ upcoming record is slated to be released in Summer 2026. It was recorded/produced in an Allston basement studio by Grant Bloom and mixed by Alasdair MacKenzie, with input from Matt and Peter DeAngelis. It features musical performances from Matt, Peter, and Andrea DeAngelis, Grant Bloom, Alasdair MacKenize, Cody Nilsen, and Michael Donovan. The album art, and all band graphic designs, were created by artist-in-residence, Jack Confrey.
